Entertainment Programme

At the Main Stage Entertainment - Jubilee stadium.

Dressing to go with the entertainment theme on some nights is invited but is not compulsory.    If space is at a premium then why not select a hat or accessory for each theme.

For the Public Open Day on Sunday 22nd January we encourage you to dress in the era of your vehicle.

Tuesday 17th 

50s Rock n Roll with Freddy Flash and the Firebirds

Rock your soul out with “Freddy Flash and the Firebirds”. Fred Loveridge brings his band of 50s rockers to dance , sing and rock out all night, they won’t stop and nor will you.  

For the ladies wear your ‘capri pants’ or ‘pedal pushers’,  full skirts with scarf around your neck, get out those twinsets and pearls and for the guys what about drainpipe trousers and winklepicker shoes, or maybe jeans, white tee-shirt and leather jacket.

Wednesday 18th

A Night at the Proms with BRASS WANGANUI

Wear your bowler hats or boaters, wave aunion jack and be mary!

Thursday 19th

Ukulele Heaven with The Wellington International Ukulele Orchestra

“Expect pop hits reworked into thrilling ukulele singalongs with comedic banter aplenty.” - New Zealand Herald 

Wear your loudest Hawaiian shirt, pop a lei around your neck or maybe just wear a beach hat

Friday 20th

Remember the Blitz with The Beat Girls

NZ’s favorite girl group is going on the road to help entertain the troops and cheer up the nation – two hours of music, dance, fun and false eyelashes!

The war years were grim times but pack up all your cares and woes – come dressed in your finest military uniform or dress in 1940’s fashion  – bring along your gas mask of course!

Saturday 21st

1920s New Orleans Ragtime with The Roseneath Ragtime Band

Kicking out the jams from stompin' New O'leans style ragtime, funeral marches and gospel shouts to second line grooves and street beats!

Polish your shoes, preen your feathers and dress in your Deco best – that is 1920’s / 30’ style.

Sunday 22nd

Funky fusion with The Conrays

The Conrays are an eight piece soul blues funk outfit ,featuring three horn players trumpet/cornet ,trombone, and alto sax, twin guitar Bass and drums .

Monday 23rd

Irish Night with The Shenanagins

Quirky, eccentric entertaining and very very cool, the Shananagins wow with their hilarious banter and high energy music. Guilty if proven to be Irish!

Tuesday 24th

Country and Western with Stars of NZ Country Music

A night featuring some of NZ’s finest, playing all varieties of country music

Mosey along and bring your Stetson, cowboy boots, jeans and checked shirt and you’ll fit right in.

Wednesday 25th

70s-80s Pop Rock with Lounge Suite

Lounge Suite is best described as a "retro style" band as they rarely play anything new, mostly 70's and 80's classic tracks.

Thursday 26th

Variety Evening with Showman Evan Huirua

Evan plays a wide variety of rock n roll, rock, blues, country and jazz hits amongst a massive set list of well-known songs.
